With so many members all from varied backgrounds and individual styles and habits, it isn't hard to imagine that Intellectually Sound's influences are as varied as the company they keep. With musical tastes ranging across the board (from soul and jazz to downtempo and world music), the untrained listener would naturally need some sort of comparison in order to ground themselves to their music. Clearly one of the shining upcoming stars of the Portland Hip-Hop scene, Intellectually Sound marks the birth of a new beginning (or end) of Hip-Hop as we know it.
